  17.6 Reflexives in German - no reflexives in English

We have already mentioned that there are more possibilities in German to use reflexive pronouns than in English. A list is given here. Following some examples for you.

Examples  
  Das Auto verkauft sich gut.
= The car sells well.
  Die Autos verkaufen sich gut.
= The cars sell well.
  Das Buch liest sich gut.
= The book reads well.
  Die Bücher lesen sich gut.
= The books read well.
  Das Holz lässt sich leicht verarbeiten.
= It is easy to work with this wood.
  Das Fenster öffnete sich.
= The window opens.
  Das Benzin entzündete sich.
= The gasoline ignites.
