It's not really very often that there is no article in a phrase. They are sentences of these types:

example       In summer people eat ice cream. Im Sommer isst man Eis.   Money doesn't help, if you are sick. Geld nützt nichts, wenn man krank ist.

In phrases of this type adjectives are used without articles:

examples       Good books can be bought everywhere. Gute Bücher kann man überall kaufen.   Black tobacco is bad for your health. Schwarzer Tabak ist schlecht für die Gesundheit.   Fatty food makes people fat. Fettes Essen macht dick.   In Afghanistan there are beautiful lakes. In Afghanistan gibt es schöne Seen.
