This scene describes the relationship of Faust to Margaret.
When Mephistopheles is making of Faust's feeling, Faust
provokes him. The response is prompt and Mephistopheles
tells him everything, what he doesn't want to hear. The
conflict between Faust and Mephistopheles is still more
accentuated in the scene before, but also here it can
be seen.
