In English the negative imperative form is almost identical with the indicative form, when thinking about the 2nd person singular or plural. When thinking about the first and third person plural, things are different as you can see in the examples.
Negative imperative form in English
Do it! <=> Do not do it! (Indicative: You do not do it.)
Let us take it! <=> Let us not take it! (Indicative: We do not take it.)
In German this is one of the simple things. The negation nicht is just added to the affirmative form.
