33.8.2 Present and perfect participle of transitive verbs
Concerning transitives verbs the difference between present and perfect participle is activity. The present participle refers to the subject as an action that is done by the subject; it is active. The perfect participle refers to the subject as an action that is done to the subject; it is passive.
